The pieces were constructed from steel after the Dunedin railway footbridge was struck by the metal flaps of a container carried on a wagon on February 12 last year.
His company won the tender to reinstate the bridge and Mr Forbes decided to reuse some of the scrap steel for an exhibition, which is being held at the Collaborations Gallery, in Dunedin, until April 2.
Also featured in the exhibition are prints by Robert Piggott, poetry by Kay Cooke, paintings by Mike Cooke and photographs by Owen Dunne and Loeiza Jacq.
