St Hildas
Collegiate pupils hope a cookbook will make their dream of a
new school canteen a reality.
The fundraising venture features more than 150 recipes, many
of which have been donated by Otago personalities including
jeweller Michael Hill, New Zealand sporting representatives
Jeff and Adine Wilson, and Fleur's Place restaurant owner
Fleur Sullivan.
The cookbook, titled Fruition, will be unveiled at an
official launch at the school tomorrow at 5.30pm.
Deputy principal Geraldine Corkery said the initiative was
organised by the Parents and Friends Association of St Hildas
Collegiate.
It would be the sole provider of funds for the refurbishment
and extension of the school's cafeteria.
It was hoped the development would be completed by the end of
next year, Ms Corkery said.
