Organisers of the 2010 iD Dunedin Fashion Show have unveiled
a line-up of fashion designers, but the promised "big name"
guest designer has yet to be revealed.
Sixteen labels will appear on the Dunedin Railway Station
platform catwalk, and because of its popularity, the show
will be held over two consecutive nights - March 12 and 13.
Label designers NomD, Carlson, Mild Red, Rembrandt, Company
of Strangers, Cherry Cotton Candy, twentysevennames and
Charmaine Reveley are included in the line-up.
The 2010 Capsule Collections will see the return of Iris
(Annette Cadogan), Jane Sutherland, Elusiv (Nicola Reilly)
and BurtenShaw (Cheryl Burtenshaw), together with new
designers Vaughan Geeson, Lou & Ash (Ava Sanders), and
Lela Jacobs.
Complementing the line-up of established designers will be
five collections from graduates of the 2009 Otago Polytechnic
Fashion School.
Roxanna Zamani, Sophie Hardy, Bailey Meredith, Siobhan
Moroney and Brigid Steeper will show alongside the winners
from the iD Dunedin Emerging Designer Awards.
iD Dunedin Fashion Committee chairwoman Susie Staley said the
announcement of the line-up was confirmation of the
committee's dedication to fashion week.
"It's full steam ahead and we are confident of providing a
thrilling, engaging fashion week in March 2010."
Event co-ordinator Victoria Bunton told the Otago Daily
Times a special guest designer would be attending the
show, making it an "event to remember".
The designer is likely to be announced early next year.
