The police have applied for the cancellation or suspension of
an on-licence involving the Captain Cook Tavern, Dunedin, and
the Liquor Licensing Authority will hear the matter later
this month.
A notice issued by the authority says the application will be
considered in a Dunedin District Court hearing room on March
29.
The on-licence was issued to Stab in the Dark Enterprises,
and the application was made by police Sergeant Wayne
Pitcaithly, under the Sale of Liquor Act.
An application has also been made under the Act for the
suspension or cancellation of a manager's licence at the
tavern.
It is understood the applications arise from matters in May
last year.
No information was available from police yesterday.
