About 25 Border Leicester breeders and more than 40 Dorset Down breeders held separate tours, visiting various studs, before meeting up in Omakau.
A "Canterbury versus the rest" curling competition was held in Naseby, with the Cantabrians emerging the victors.
It was a very enjoyable tour, New Zealand Sheep Breeders Association general manager Greg Burgess said.
