Fairlie farmer re-elected

South Canterbury farmer Anne Munro has been re-elected to the board of Beef and Lamb New Zealand.

Mrs Munro has has served one term on the board. Her nomination was the only one received for the central South Island electorate.

Originally from West Otago, she and her husband Philip farm a 1037ha hill country property, Wairewa Station, near Fairlie. The couple hit the headlines when wool from Wairewa was selected to become felt for the 2006 US Open's tennis balls.

Two nominations have been received for the farmer director position in Beef and Lamb's western North Island electorate: incumbent director Kirsten Bryant (Fordell) and John McCarthy (Ohakune).
