New Zealand's two largest meat processors are in for a
shake-up following the retirement of their long-serving
Former Alliance Group chairman Owen Poole, of Wanaka, stepped
down last month after more than 20 years with the company,
including 10 as CEO.
Silver Fern Farms chairman Eoin Garden, of Millers Flat, will
not seek re-election to the board at the company's annual
general meeting in December.
Manuka Gorge farmer Rob Hewett will take over as chairman
North Canterbury farmer Murray Taggart has taken over from Mr
Poole and will seek re-election as chairman at the group's
annual meeting in December.
