Dunsandel dominated this year's Christchurch district ANZ Young Farmers Contest final on Saturday.

Not only did Dunsandel put up half of the 18 competitors at the district final, held at Tai Tapu, near Lincoln, but the club snared the top four places. Robin Hornblow took out first place, with Willis Ritchie second, Sarah O'Connell third and Karl Dean fourth. All four will now compete in the Tasman regional final on March 14, which is being hosted by the Christchurch district. Organiser Allen Gregory said the 18 competitors were tested in 13 modules, which included a range of farming-related activities, general knowledge and public speaking.
