Millers Flat Hereford breeders Gray and Robyn Pannett achieved a top price of $31,000 at their recent bull sale.
The bull was bought by Canterbury breeders Rob Burrows and Greg Chamberlain, while two other bulls both sold for $14,500.
The 36th annual Limehills sale was described by agents as a strong sale with a very good clearance of 42 bulls.
East Otago's Waimara Angus sold 16 bulls for an average of $7275, gaining a top price of $12,200 for one sold to the Scott family's Bannockburn Angus at Fox Glacier.
Stoneburn Herefords sold 21 bulls for an average of $5623 with a top price of $7500 for one sold to Dunblane Farming from North Otago.
Glenside Simmentals, Waitahuna, sold 12 for an average of $6100, with two at $11,000, while the Beresford Simmental stud at Owaka sold 15 for an average of $5566 and a top of $10,000.
