Waimate's Tasvic Family Trust topped the Canterbury A and P
Association's recent stud ram and ewe fair, selling a
Southdown ram for $13,000 to Winton couple Todd and Fleur
Anderson.
Stud breeder Chris Medlicott sold the second highest priced
ram for $11,500.
There were 291 rams and two ewes on offer and sales were up
more than 30% on last year with a total of $380,200 over the
two days, compared with $291,750 last year.
The average sale price was $1925 for rams, compared with
$1752 last year, and $400 for ewes, compared with $379.
