Agriculture Minister David Carter heads the line-up of
speakers at Wednesday's Federated Farmers High Country field
day in the Nevis Valley.
Mr Carter will speak at 1.15pm, as part of a programme
including addresses from local run-holders, staff from banks,
Land Information New Zealand and Pioneer Generation (which
has plans to build a electricity generation plant in the
valley), as well as descendants of local gold miners and QE11
Trust representatives.
The field day starts at 9.30am in the Nevis Valley, a
40-minute drive from Cromwell, and will end about 5.30pm at
Garston.
