Senior station officer Ken Tisdall was given the Gold Star medal for his 25 years of service as a volunteer firefighter, and also received a life honorary membership. He was joined by his wife Teri, who was awarded for her support over the years. Firefighter Daune Schollitt received her certificate for her first three years of service at the Frankton Fire Brigade from former United Fire Brigades' Association president John Grenfell. Former United Fire Brigades' Association president John Grenfell added the Gold Star medal to Ken Tisdall's uniform for 25 years of dedicated service. Chief fire officer Bob Robertson, who received the medal for 50 years' service at last year's ceremony, thanked all the volunteers for their service.
