A thrilling two-person balancing act on large rotating rings was one of the highlights of the evening. A number of juggling acts amazed the crowd. How many nimble Chinese girls can you fit onto one bike? The answer is. . . 12 The classic disappearing and reappearing act was spiced up with the use of fire and dramatic lights. Zirka Circus owner and manager Jeni Hou (centre) caught up with her team of performers after their first successful performance in Queenstown. Effective use of lights, music, costumes and engaging performers captivated the audience for a show which included elements of dance and the sense of a story line throughout most of the performance.
