The dispute between celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and major New Zealand promoter has been settled out of court, according to a joint statement.

"The parties have reached a mutually-agreeable financial settlement, including a donation of $100,000 to Matisse Reid and the trust Chance2Eat.

"Further, Duco Events and Gordon Ramsay are committed to working together in 2013, further details to be announced in due course."

Duco Events sued Ramsay for $2.1 million after he cancelled appearances at the events that were supposed to raise money for Napier schoolgirl Matisse Reid's organ transplant.

The chef arrived in the country on Sunday and appeared to be in good spirits, tweeting 'Room with a view. Love Auckland. Glorious''.
