A man in his early 40s will appear in Christchurch District Court tomorrow after allegedly indecently assaulting a 12-year-old girl in a Dallington park today.
Detective Sergeant Mark Reid said the man approached the girl, who was alone in Woodham Park, around lunchtime.
A group of people in the park became concerned and phoned police, he said.
Police then located the man still in the park with the girl.
