Police have cordoned off a house in Montgomery St, Hastings after what is believed to be a domestic incident.
Five police cars arrived at the address about 11am and a scene guard remained in place.
Officers assessed the backyard of the house from an adjacent property.
Police and neighbours would not elaborate on the nature of the incident.
