Six men are expected to appear in court tomorrow following what was thought to be a gang fight in Rotorua.
The incident happened on September 30. Police received reports of a large number of people fighting at a house in Koutu Rd.
Six men from Rotorua - aged from 20 to 34 - will appear in the Rotorua District Court tomorrow jointly charged with possession of an offensive weapon and criminal damage.
One of the men faces an additional charge of assault.
During the fight a 34-year-old man was struck by a car and treated for serious injuries in Rotorua Hospital. He was discharged three days later and is now recovering at home.
Police say the investigation into how the man came to be injured is still ongoing.
The assault charge relates to a separate incident involving another man.
Police have not ruled out further arrests.
