Police are appealing for witnesses after a man tried to
abduct a young woman by forcing her into his car in Lower
Hutt last night
The woman was walking north on Randwick Road toward the Moera

black car parked on the side of Randwick Rd about 7pm.
He grabbed her by the shoulders and tried to force her into
the car, Detective Iain Burns of the Hutt Valley CIB said.
She describes the man as Maori, with short dark hair and
beard, wearing dark sunglasses, black track pants and black
