The second anniversary of the Pike River Mine disaster will
be marked in private, at the mine portal.
About 120 family members of the 29 victims have indicated
they want to head to the mine site, near Atarau, on November
19.
Spokesman for some families Bernie Monk said they would
travel by buses, have lunch near the mine, and gather outside
the mine portal at the time of the blast, 3.44pm.
The families met last night for the first time since the
Royal Commission released its report on Monday, and Mr Monk
said the general feeling was the findings were "as hard as we
wanted".
