A man has died after a car crashed into a drain near Hastings
early this morning.
Emergency services were called to the crash on State Highway
2 at Te Hauke, about 20km south of Hasting, about 2.50am.
Inspector Ken Climo of police central communications said the
car appeared to have gone into a drain.
The man who died was believed to be the sole occupant.
