Armed police swooped on Dallington in Christchurch this morning looking for Jackson Manson, wanted for arrest in connection with serious offending involving the use of firearms.
The Armed Offenders Squad was called to a Gayhurst Rd address this morning, after an off-duty police officer had earlier reported a sighting of Manson.
Manson had left the address before police arrived.
The operation is being wound up and cordons removed.
Manson is a Maori (22) of thin build, with black hair and brown eyes.
