Police lockdown at Tauranga school

Matua School in Tauranga went into lockdown briefly this morning.

Classes were interrupted about 10am when police requested the school be locked down.

The lockdown was over by 10.10am.

Police officers and dog units could be seen searching the area and at a house on Levers Rd next to the school.
