The Armed Offenders Squad has arrested a man who was
allegedly armed at Paparoa in Northland early this morning.
A police spokeswoman said a woman reported the man to
authorities after he arrived at her house carrying a weapon
about 6am.
The spokeswoman said the man then left the house and
officers, including the Armed Offenders Squad, were deployed
to the neighbourhood.
A 36-year-old man was arrested when he arrived at a cordoned
area in a vehicle.
The man was known to the woman whose house he visited, police
said.
