A hunter who had been missing on the East Coast overnight has
been found and is due to be rescued by a helicopter shortly.
The 55-year-old Dannevirke man was expected out of the bush
between Tolaga Bay and Anaura Bay last night after a day's
hunting.
Inspector Ian Harris from central police communications said
a ground crew found him about 3.30pm, but the area was
difficult to access.
"So they have requested a helicopter, which is going in now
to pick him up."
The man appeared uninjured, he said.
The Lowe Walker Rescue helicopter was due in the area about
now, he said.
