The family of Sir Paul Holmes have gathered in Hawkes Bay after the broadcaster was taken to hospital.
Sir Paul is said to be in a stable condition in Hawke's Bay Hospital.
"The family have gathered in Hawkes Bay to be close to Paul, however, request privacy at this time and will be making no comment to the media," a statement from his wife Lady Deborah Holmes and his brother Ken said.
Sir Paul was invested as a knight at his Hawkes Bay home last Wednesday, the ceremony brought forward at the request of his family because of concerns over his health.
