A farmer was found unconscious with a cut to his head near Te
Kuiti today, apparently after being struck by a cow.
The 56-year-old was flown by Westpac Waikato Air Ambulance to
Waikato Hospital's emergency department, where he was being
assessed, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The rescue helicopter was called to the farm near Aria this
morning where the farmer had been moving stock.
A rescue helicopter spokesman said a cow was believed to have
caused the injury.
