A new $22 million Christchurch police station officially
opened today is one of the safest buildings in the city.
The one-storey building replaces the old 13-storey central
city station which had to be vacated due to earthquake risks.
It will accommodate up to 500 police staff, who will be
sharing the building with 40 Corrections staff.
A name, residential address, and (preferably residential) telephone number is required from readers who comment on ODT Online. These details will not be visible to site visitors.
