At least five shots were fired during three armed robberies
within an hour in Auckland yesterday.
Police said at least four people were confronted by a man who
stole money, a cellphone and a bag containing valuables,
including a Taiwanese passport, between 4pm and 5pm.
During one robbery, on the summit of Mt Eden, the man fired
five shots into the ground when two of the victims challenged
and chased him after he took their bag.
Police recovered five discharged .22 calibre bullets.
Another of the robberies occurred at the Winter Garden at
Auckland Domain.
The man was driving a 2012 royal blue Holden Commodore SV6,
registration GPH784, which was stolen from a rental company
lock-up compound near Auckland airport on February 6, but
only reported stolen to police today.
Anyone with footage or photos of any of the incidents is
urged to contact police.
