A dairy owner has been forced to lock up his icecreams to
stop people stealing them.
Jae Shin Yoo, who has owned Cosmos Superette in Rotorua for
18 years, said schoolchildren were the main offenders and he
keeps the freezer locked from 3pm to 6pm each day.
Inspector Ed Van Den Broek from Rotorua police praised Mr
Shin Yoo.
"He has recognised a particular type of offending, and in
this case it is school kids taking an item that is obviously
popular. Good on him for doing this."
