A man has died after falling from a Tree Adventures' ropes
course in the Woodhill Forest, west of Auckland, Newstalk ZB
reported.
Police are investigating, along with health and safety
officials.
The man, aged in his 50s, fell in front of scores of
onlookers including his wife and many school children, TV3
reported.
He was attempting the highest rope section when he fell 14
metres, it reported.
Witnesses told TV3 safety was lacking before the incident.
Tree Adventures is a popular facility that has 10 different
courses ranging from three to 14 metres above the ground.
