Teachers will protest outside National MPs' electoral offices
tomorrow morning over problems with the Novopay payroll
system.
The New Zealand Educational Institute, representing primary
and intermediate teachers, said members would picket outside
35 offices of National MPs across the country from 7am
tomorrow.
The picket would target offices from Phil Heatley's office in
Whangarei to Eric Roy's office in Invercargill.
NZEI president Judith Nowotarski said it had been six months
since Novopay was launched.
Ms Nowotarski said the NZEI had been to weekly meeting with
Minister in charge of Novopay Steven Joyce but had not seen a
reduction in the level of frustration from members.
She said the action would not interrupt the school day.
