Some 100,000 New Zealanders have so far pre-registered for
the Mighty River Power share offer, Minister of State Owned
Enterprises Tony Ryall says.
That figure was reached by 8.30am today after
pre-registration opened yesterday.
Mr Ryall said interest had been strong and at times "huge".
It took 10 days to reach 100,000 during the pre-registration
phase of Contact Energy shares in 1999.
