A man has been charged with kidnapping homicide victim Rae
Portman.
Counties Manukau police said the 36-year-old man would appear
in Papakura District Court this afternoon charged with
kidnapping Ms Portman in June last year, and drug-dealing
offences.
Ms Portman, 33, was four months pregnant when she went
missing on June 20 last year.
Her body was found on a south Auckland farm four months
later.
Paraire Hori Te Awa has been charged with her murder and
kidnap. He will reappear later this month.
Another man, Lee Rigby, 32, appeared in Manukau District
Court yesterday where he pleaded guilty to kidnapping Ms
Portman.
