An elderly Kapiti woman was left shaken after she backed her car through a fence and crashed into a house.
The crash happened as the woman was reversing her car out of her driveway on Rimu St in Waikanae about 12.55pm, Senior Sergeant Alasdair Macmillan of Kapiti police said.
"She's gone through the fence and hit the side of the house."
Mr Macmillan said ambulance staff assessed the woman at the scene.
"She's a bit shaken but fine."
The house was undamaged.
