One person was killed when a car left the road and went into a ditch in south Auckland overnight.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Patumahoe at 4.27am, police said.
On arrival police found a single motor vehicle had left the road and crashed into a ditch. The sole occupant died at the scene.
Police were investigating and diversions were in place.
