Southbound lanes on the Auckland motorway have been closed after a truck carrying a snowplough hit and damaged the Greenlane motorway overbridge today.
The incident happened just before noon, Inspector Cronell Kluessin from northern police communications said.
Traffic has been delayed while concrete from the bridge was cleared from the road.
No one was injured in the incident.
Mr Kluessin said the bridge was being assessed, but had not been closed.
It was not known how long the motorway lanes would be closed for, he said.
