A pedestrian has died after being hit by a truck while crossing State Highway 1 just north of Timaru this morning.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, between Hedley Rd and Lynch Rd near Seadown, around 9.30am, police say. Detours are in place and police are investigating.
