Two people have been seriously injured after their car left the road and flipped upside-down in a field in Northland.
The incident, which involved only one car, occurred just north of the Brynderwyns in Kaipara at the intersection of State Highway 12 and State Highway 1.
Two people were flown from the crash to hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, police said.
Roads are not blocked, however emergency services were still at the scene of the crash.
Police have advised drivers to take care in the area.
