One injured in Auckland house fire

A person was treated for smoke inhalation and minor burns after a house fire in the south Auckland suburb of Mangere this morning.

The fire broke out in the bedroom and lounge of the house on Gray Ave about 3.15am, Fire Service northern communications shift manager Jaron Phillips said.

Ambulance crews treated one person for smoke inhalation and minor burns.

Mr Phillips said two children were also checked over by ambulance staff, but were uninjured.

A fire safety investigator was looking into the cause of the blaze.
