Emergency services were this evening freeing a person partially buried in a collapsed culvert near Auckland Airport.
The person was working in the trench on Landing Drive when it collapsed, partly burying them in dirt about 6pm, a Fire Service spokesman said.
"A patient is stuck in a culvert. Ambulance is administering some sort of drug and the Fire Service is preparing the patient prior to extricating them," he said.
