Stewart Murray Wilson
Sex offender Stewart Murray Wilson's Supreme Court appeal
against his extended supervision order has been rejected.
Wilson, 66, was released on parole in August last year after
spending 18 years in prison for violent sexual offending
against women and children, stupefying adults and bestiality.
An extended supervision order placing constraints on Wilson's
freedom will continue for 10 years after the end of his
sentence in 2015 - a decision he challenged.
He argued in the Court of Appeal that the High Court decision
was premature because the order was made three years before
it was to come into effect and that grounds for making the
order had not been met.
When the Court of Appeal dismissed his bid, Wilson took it to
the Supreme Court, which also dismissed his application for
leave to appeal.
