Police have arrested a man who allegedly stole an elderly
man's car and injured him before assaulting a petrol station
worker and crashing into a power pole.
Police allege the 32-year-old Morrinsville man approached an
80-year-old who was about to get in his car after doing the
shopping in the Waikato town about 10am.
He demanded his keys but the victim refused so the offender
allegedly snatched the keys and got into the car, inflicting
a minor injury to the elderly man in the process, a police
