An 18-year old Christchurch man has been charged with rape
and abduction over two incidents, one involving an
11-year-old who was snatched from park.
A teenage girl was assaulted in a car on Saturday night and
an 11-year-old girl abducted from a park on Sunday morning.
She was later found on a rural road.
The man will appear in the Christchurch District Court today
charged with rape of a female over 16, rape of a female under
12, and abduction for sex of a girl under 12.

Police are continuing to ask for any sightings of two
vehicles believed to have been involved in the incidents.
Anyone who saw a white Nissan Primera saloon, in and around
Pound Road and Christchurch Airport late Saturday night or
early Sunday morning, or a blue Subaru Legacy saloon in the
Loburn and North Canterbury area on Sunday morning, is asked
