Police are investigating an unexplained death after a
17-year-old woman was found dead in a Hamilton home early

Hamilton CIB Detective Sergeant Simon Cherry said police were
notified by ambulance staff that a 17-year-old woman was
found dead in a Te Aroha St home shortly after 4am.
"At this stage the scene has cordoned off and a scene
examination is underway.
"As part of our investigations a post-mortem examination will
be conducted on the woman's body in Auckland this afternoon
and the results of this will give us a clearer picture of the
nature of the event we are dealing with."
Mr Cherry said as was the case in similar situations, the
death would be treated as suspicious until evidence confirmed
