A man has suffered head injuries while felling pine trees in Hawkes Bay.
The 43-year-old was hit by a branch at a forestry block near Raupunga this morning.
The Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter crew winched him up 50 metres through pine trees due to the steep terrain, and then flew him to Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital.
