The body of a man has been found by searchers on the
shoreline near Kaikoura after a boat capsized this morning.
A second man believed to have been on the boat has not been
located, police said.
A search began after a member of the public raised the alarm
after seeing the boat at 9am off Atia Point, near South Bay.
The stern of the boat was floating with its bow submerged in

The man whose body has been recovered was wearing a
lifejacket, police said.
The vessel has been towed to shore.
