Six arrests after Manawatu meth sting

Six people have been arrested in a two-day sting targeting methamphetamine supply ring in Manawatu.

Ten search warrants were executed - eight at residential properties and two at commercial properties.

Four men and two women were arrested and a small amount of methamphetamine and stolen property - including a digital projector - seized.

"We believe that this network was distributing methamphetamine in the Palmerston North area, and a team of officers from Manawatu, Whanganui, and Wellington supported by specialist pPolice dogs carried out the search warrants," said Detective Sergeant Dave Thompson of the Manawatu CIB.

"This is a major success for both the police and the public of Palmerston North. By disrupting and dismantling the supply of illicit drugs we can ensure our communities are happy, healthy, and safe places to live."
