The Maketu man accused of murder following the shooting of a 46-year-old man found dead in a park last week has denied the charge.
Tyrone Daniel Flavell, 19, denied the murder charge through his legal counsel when he appeared before Justice Paul Heath in the High Court at Tauranga today.
Isaac Dale Bushell was found dead in a park at Beach Rd, Maketu after leaving a party about 1.45am on Sunday December 8.
Flavell's attendance at court today was excused by Justice Heath.
Flavell, who is on bail at an undisclosed location, is due back in court on March 12 for a case review hearing.
