Five teenagers have been arrested following a violent home
invasion in south Auckland early this morning.
Police said a residential Papakura address was burgled about
1.30am by a group armed with a firearm and knives.
They allegedly assaulted some of the house's occupants and
threatened others before leaving with electrical items.
One occupant required medical treatment as a result of being

Stolen property was found in the car and other property was
found along the route it travelled.
The firearm, described as a long weapon, had not been
recovered and may have been thrown from the car as it left

charged with aggravated burglary to appear in Papakura
District Court next week.
