A New Zealand-registered Boeing 737 has crash-landed at
Honiara airport in the Solomon Islands.
No one was injured in the incident, in which the right-side
landing gear collapsed as the plane landed.
The plane had just landed at Honiara International Airport
formally known as Henderson Field - when the incident
The equipment collapse caused the plane to come to a
halt on the tarmac", a spokesman for aviation company
Only a couple of crew members were aboard and they were
uninjured, he said, speaking from New Zealand.
The aircraft was flying under the livery of
freight company Toll.
"All the required authorities have been informed and a
investigation is in process," the spokesman said.
It was not known where the plane had travelled from or
it was carrying.
